MEET THE AUTHOR

We recently released our first devotional book - a compilation of blog articles written by members of our Dainty Jewells community over the last several years. We are delighted to have this encouraging resource for Christian women everywhere. Written for ladies of any age or stage of life, She's Intentional: Daily Devotions is a faith-building book that will challenge the Christian lady's walk.

With over 25 contributing authors, we are able to cover a wide range of topics in this devotional. Today, we are featuring one of those authors, Whitney Gothra! Whitney contributed several articles and covered topics on life, motherhood, leaning on Jesus, prayer and the word, and relationships. Some of her articles include, "The Growth Cycle", "Because of a Mother", "The Music of Chaos", "Keeping a Prayer Journal", and "Every Moment Holy".

Enamel Watch Dial

When it comes to enamel watch dials, I believe everyone is familiar with them. Its characteristics of being as warm as jade, bright as jewelry, and fine as porcelain have won the love of many watch fans. The Porcelain Watch Dial begins by casting a thin layer of liquid porcelain in a specially made plaster mould. Then, when the material is soft, cut the round watch dial of the desired diameter by hand. After drying, the watch dial is formed by hardening in a ceramic oven at a temperature above 1,200°C. On watch dials, they can be fired in pure colors, or watch dial cusotm, which can be made with precision enamel and painted with various ornate patterns. Of course, the complicated production process, which is not easy to oxidize and fade, also makes the enamel more precious.
