Industry supply side reform must solve the problem of printing and dyeing environmental protection

On April 12, the fifth meeting of the fifth session of the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association and the sixth executive meeting of the fifth session was held in Shanghai.

Wang Tiankai, president of China Textile Industry Federation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He summed up the overall situation of the industry with 16 words: overall stability, worrying trends, obvious differentiation, and prospects. He said that last year, the scale of investment in the textile industry continued to expand, performance and performance of the operation performed well, in which the performance of the printing and dyeing industry indicators on average better than the industry level.

What needs to be noted is that the market demand is weakening, and the environmental protection pressures companies are facing are constantly increasing. In particular, new emission standards put printing companies under great pressure. The printing and dyeing problem is the bottleneck of the development of the industry, and it is related to China's three-product strategy. It is a problem that the government, industry, and enterprises should pay attention to and work together.

Wang Tiankai also pointed out that at present, there are five problems in the supply-side structural reform in the industry. First, the phased overcapacity issue in the chemical fiber and cotton spinning industries. The second is the quality of cotton. The third is printing and dyeing environmental protection issues. Fourth, the cost issue. The fifth is how to achieve effective supply to the market and customers. Among them, the issue of environmental emissions from printing and dyeing involves more than one link in printing and dyeing, and it also includes the front end of the industrial chain. Enterprises should strengthen technological research and, at the same time, must solve the funding problem through a reasonable model.

Wang Tiankai is full of confidence in the development prospects of the textile industry. He pointed out that the reason is that many consulting reports have shown that the future consumption potential market is in China; the Chinese textile industry still has the advantages of a complete industrial chain; in recent years, entrepreneurs have had a great deal of thought. Changes, businesses and entrepreneurs are the driving forces for transformation and upgrading. However, China's technological process still needs to be improved. The power of individual companies alone is not enough. The industry should pool resources and share benefits, and unite upstream and downstream to develop together.
